I thought I had posted in Mac Pro. My Power Macs have been in the closet for so long, I almost forgot what one was. Second, the arstechnica review is helpful. I would not care to try installing both the Radeon and nVidia cards at the same time, so the question is whether there is any benefit to installing the nVidia card at all. My primary use for this Mac Pro is Photography and still imageing. I'd hate to throw that off with kernel panics and other issues. If the nVidia card is more problematic, perhaps I should just return it to my retailer. I am returning to video after several years, and am learning my way around different high definition acquisition and formatting issues. I was told that the Matrox OS mini with MAX simplifies file format conversions, and permits editing in real time. The Matrox should not depend on the video card for its functionality.
